It cannot be easier to apply a band-aid: First, ensure the affected area is clean and dry. This part is super important because a clean wound keeps germs from making things worse. For example, if you suspect a sprain or strain (which means you may have pulled a muscle), a flexible tape is best. This type of tape will let you move your body without going too restricted. However, if you have a cut or an open wound, you should make sure to use a stronger tape that adheres well. Such tape will keep the bandage on better and protect the wound to a greater extent. In most cases, simply replace the covering or tape regularly to keep it clean, especially if it becomes wet or dirty. You should check your bandage daily to monitor if it requires changing.
Avoid having the bandage or tape for an excessive amount of time. You would not want to have it turned on for any longer than a few days at most. If it becomes wet, replace it sooner.
